De mooie reacties op de muzikale visie hebben ons laten zien dat we er goed aan doen om ons eigen spel te spelen. Daar krijgen we energie van, en daarvoor willen we jullie bedanken. Naast de muzikale visie mag de intrinsieke en artistieke visie natuurlijk niet ontbreken. Benieuwd naar onze blik op creativiteit, concept en beleving? Ga er dan maar eens goed voor zitten <3.   

DE MOOISTE SPEELTUIN VAN BREDA 
Aan de bak op de Galderse Meren, een ongekend unieke locatie in het zuiden van Nederland. Het is een voorrecht om deze magische plas één keer per jaar als canvas te mogen gebruiken voor PLOEGENDIENST. Dat verdient wat ons betreft ook het allerbeste. In samenspel met de omgeving en de natuur halen we alles uit de kast om vanuit concept, op een duurzame manier én met plezier, de volle potentie van het terrein te benutten en de plas elk jaar schoner achter te laten dan we hem aantroffen. Het strand, het water en de bossen groeien met ons mee. Wanneer alle elementen samenvallen en het golden hour op het water weerspiegelt, voelen we dat we echt thuis zijn.   

HET CONCEPT  PLOEGENDIENST
Is in haar kern een festival waarin het concept ‘werken’ met een dikke knipoog centraal staat. Hoewel dit altijd een van de bouwstenen zal blijven, voelen we dat ons creatieve hartje schreeuwt om meer dan alleen collega’s, werkvloeren en ‘lekker gewerkt pikken’. Tijd om onszelf opnieuw uit te dagen. Dit wakkert het vuurtje aan waarmee we vol passie timmeren aan een weg die er net wat artistieker uitziet.    In het muzikale programma streven we naar het boeken van de artiesten van nu en van de toekomst. Het liefst geen voor de hand liggende keuzes, maar underground dancestromingen die energie geven, uitdagen en verrassen. Bij voorkeur in een ploeg met ploegleider (curator). Deze muzikale ontdekkingstocht legt de fundering. daaromheen bouwen we een wereld die je van begin tot eind prikkelt. Met creatieve decoren en knipogen in elke hoek van de plas sporen we je aan om uitstapjes te maken waar het innerlijke kind de teugels pakt en het nadenken even wordt vergeten. Een beleving creëren die van A tot Z klopt, dat is voor ons de essentie van PLOEGENDIENST. De kunst van ontwikkeling vinden wij in het serieus durven denken met een speelse geest. Blijf trouw aan je authentieke zelf en speel je eigen spel.    Wie achter de kudde aanloopt, sjouwt immers door de stront.

GROOT WORDEN DOOR KLEIN TE BLIJVEN
Samenhorigheid voorop. Intieme stages en ongedwongen plekken, waar iedereen de kans krijgt om in hun eigen tempo te bewegen en een eigen avontuur te beleven. Juist in die variatie en eigenheid zien wij eenheid. Jong of oud, met gevoel voor ritme of met twee linkervoeten, zolang je maar je beste beentje voorzet.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE  PLOEGENDIENST
Streeft naar pure connecties, zowel tussen bezoekers onderling als daarbuiten. Écht feesten doe je met elkaar én jezelf, voor en achter de schermen. We werken hard vanuit het hart. Elk jaar met één doel: de beste editie van PLOEGENDIENST neerzetten. Ons doel is om PLOEGENDIENST voor zoveel mogelijk mensen betaalbaar te houden. Underground dancestromingen zijn niet enkel voor de elite, maar voor iedereen. Het maakt niet uit wie je bent of waar je vandaan komt. Laat je vooroordelen thuis, houd je ogen open en je ziel scherp. Dit is de plek waar juist je buurman je beste vriend kan worden, waar die ene persoon stiekem toch best wel aardig blijkt te zijn, waar je de lerares van de basisschool opeens zonder boeken ziet en waar jeugdvrienden, nieuwe liefdes en oude kennissen allemaal samenkomen in één bloeiende ploeg. Deze ploeg groeit elk jaar met nieuwe liefhebbers van binnen en buiten Breda, en dat is gruwelijk mooi.   

BOUWEN DOE JE SAMEN
Jaarlijks bundelen we onze krachten met tientallen creatieve (en lokale) partijen die puur en vol overgave werken om ons én jullie te verrassen. Mensen die leveren en mensen die doen wat ze leuk vinden, zodat we op alle vlakken samen alles uit de kast halen. Van lichtkunstenaars tot geluidstechnici, en van jonge honden tot rotten uit het vak. tijdens PLOEGENDIENST komen ze allemaal samen om de Galder in haar volle glorie te laten floreren.    Of je nu ergens in de wachtrij staat, je muntje gaat halen, wanneer je van podium naar podium loopt of gewoon eventjes zit te chillen, onze vakidioten zorgen ervoor dat er overal wat te beleven is. Het geluk zit hem voor ons in deze kleine momenten en interacties.

MOOIE DINGEN! 
Wij voelen nu al kriebels in onze buik wanneer we dagdromen over wat jullie de komende editie te wachten staat. Dit enthousiasme delen we graag. We breiden uit met een gloednieuwe secret stage op het water die verankerd zal worden door onze locals. Deze bende aan het roer is direct ook het enige anker dat te vinden zal zijn op deze ronddrijvende Veerman.    De Veerman deelt haar territorium met een imposante vuurshow aan het eind van de dag. Deze is niet te missen, aangezien het van alle kanten van het terrein te bewonderen is. Over alle kanten gesproken… Voor de totale muziekbeleving hebben we bij enkele podia gekozen voor een 360°-area waar het podium in het midden van het publiek staat. We hebben onze handen ineengeslagen met lichtkunstenaars en staal- en audiopartijen voor een hele vette coproductie: ‘The Cube’. Deze stage vormde het middelpunt van Oranje Zoet en reist deze zomer met ons mee naar de Galderse Meren als decor van de UK garage stage op zaterdag en de techno stage op zondag. ‘The Cube’ is een perfect voorbeeld van projecten waar wij echt aan op gaan. De ultieme samensmelting van kunst, techniek en muziek die ontstaat wanneer je gedreven en getalenteerde partijen samenbrengt en alle krachten bundelt. 

MUZIEK EN CREATIVITEIT 
De muziekbeleving is bij iedere area slim en passend uitgedacht met de juiste bouwers en kunstenaars. Van techniek tot decor: elke stroming vraagt net wat anders om zo alle artiesten optimaal tot hun recht te laten komen. Minimalistisch, kunstzinnig of decoratief? Verdwalen in de bossen of met je koppie in de zon? Een imposante stage of juist de DJ zien als onderdeel van het publiek? Over elk detail wordt nagedacht zodat jij in een harmonieuze wereld stapt waarin muziek en creativiteit elkaar versterken en waar je de tijd eventjes kunt vergeten.    We hebben nog veel meer in petto, maar we gaan natuurlijk niet alles weggeven. Bijzijn is meemaken. Het liefst zoveel mogelijk in het moment met je telefoon in de zak. al gaat dat laatste eigenlijk al best goed. daar worden wij blij van!

BREDA’S MOST MESMERIZING PLAYING GROUND
Let’s get to work at the Galderse Meren, a one-of-a-kind location in the south of the Netherlands. It’s a privilege to use this magical lake once a year as our canvas for PLOEGENDIENST. In our eyes, that deserves nothing but the very best.    In harmony with the surroundings and nature, we are guided by concept, sustainability, and fun to unlock the full potential of the terrain and to leave the lake even cleaner than we found it. The beach, the water, and the forest grow alongside us each year. When all the elements come together and the golden hour reflects on the surface of the lake, we feel that we are truly home. 

THE CONCEPT 
At its core, PLOEGENDIENST is a festival built around the concept of “work” (working in shifts = PLOEGENDIENST). While this theme will always be one of the building blocks, our creative hearts crave more than just colleagues, workfloors, and shouting ‘Lekker gewerkt pik!’ It’s time to challenge ourselves again. That spark fuels the passion with which we carve out a more artistic path. We aim to book artists of today and the future. Not the obvious picks, but rather underground dance movements that energize, challenge, and surprise us. Ideally, in a Ploeg (crew) with a Ploegleider (curator). This musical journey is the foundation. Around it, we build a world that excites you from beginning to end. With creative stage designs and cheeky nods hidden in every corner of the lake, we encourage you to explore, let your inner child take the reins, and not think for a while.  Creating a fully immersive experience, that’s what PLOEGENDIENST is all about. We find the art of growth in daring to make serious decisions while keeping a playful spirit. Stay true to yourself and play your own game.    Those who follow the herd end up stepping in shit.

Togetherness comes first. Intimate stages and laid-back spaces where everyone can move at their own pace and live their unique adventure. It’s in that diversity and individuality that we see true unity and synergy. Young or old, whether you naturally got rhythm or two left feet, as long as you put your best foot forward. 

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE  PLOEGENDIENST
Strives to create real connections. A true celebration means sharing it with others and yourself, both on stage and behind the scenes. We work hard from the heart. Every year, we have one goal: to create the best edition of PLOEGENDIENST yet. We aim to keep PLOEGENDIENST affordable for as many people as possible. Underground dance is not just meant for the elite few, but for everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. Leave your assumptions at home, keep your eyes open, and your soul sharp. This is the place where your neighbor might become your best friend, where that one person you have never liked turns out to be actually kind of great, where you run into your old teacher without her books, and where childhood friends, new loves, and familiar faces all blend together in one blooming ploeg (crew). This ploeg grows every year with new souls from in and around Breda, and honestly, that’s beautiful to witness.

Every year, we join forces with dozens of creative (and local) partners who work with passion and dedication to surprise both us and you. People who deliver, and people who simply love what they do, ensuring we make the most of the festival on all fronts. From light designers to audio engineers, and from eager young talents to seasoned pros. At PLOEGENDIENST, they all come together to let every corner of the Galderse Meren shine in full glory.  Whether you’re waiting in line, grabbing a token, wandering from stage to stage, or just taking a moment to chill, our favorite freaks of the field ensure there is always something new to discover. We believe that it’s in those intimate moments and spontaneous interactions, real joy is found.       

GREAT THINGS AHEAD!
We can already feel the butterflies when we think about all that awaits you during the upcoming edition. We’re expanding the workfloor with a brand-new secret stage floating on the water anchored by local DJs. This driven bunch at the helm will also be the only anchor you’ll find on this drifting stage: De Veerman.    De Veerman will share its territory with an impressive fire show at the end of the day. A show that will be impossible to miss, visible from every corner of the lake. Speaking of every corner…To elevate the musical experience even further, we’re introducing 360° stage areas at selected stages. A stage where the DJ booth is placed in the heart of the crowd. For one of these stages, we have joined forces with light artists, steel designers, and audio specialists for a one-of-a-kind co-production. ‘The Cube’. This stage was the centrepiece during Oranje Zoet and will travel with us to the Galderse Meren this Summer to serve as the decor of the UK Garage area on Saturday and the techno area on Sunday.    ‘The Cube’ is a perfect example of a project that truly excites us. The ultimate fusion of art, technology, and music that emerges when you bring together driven and talented parties and combine all their strengths.       

MUSIC AND CREATIVITY
The musical experience in each area is carefully crafted with the right builders and professionals. From tech to decor, every genre requires different elements to ensure every set will be at its full potential. Minimalistic, or decorative? Getting lost in the woods, or dancing with the sun on your face? An impressive stage, or have the DJ become one with the crowd? Every detail is thoughtfully considered to create a harmonious world in which music and creativity amplify each other, and where time slips away.    And there is much more to come. Of course, we are not revealing everything. Nothing beats being there to experience it. In the moment, and with your phone in your pocket. Though luckily, the latter is already going well, and that makes us happy!
